5G Bands explained below as it offers significant improvements over 4G.
– Reliability equal to wired network
– Ultra-low latency <20ms
– Gbps data rate speeds

5G network has both low-band, mid-band and high-band frequencies, this provides long-distance communication at lower speeds, but better than 4G speeds. When near the communication tower phone can automatically switch to mid-band and high-band to provide higher speeds.

The low band (less than 1GHz) has greater coverage but lower speeds, the mid band (1GHz–6GHz) offers a balance of both, and the high band (24GHz–40GHz) offers higher speeds but a smaller coverage radius.

Low Band
Low-Band 5G transmits data around 600Mhz to 2.5Ghz, provides a large area coverage. But speeds are around 50Mbps.

Mid Band
Mid-Band 5G mostly transmits data around 2.5Ghz to 6Ghz, this provides a solid balance between coverage and speeds. Speeds can range from 100 to 900 Mbps.

High Band
High-Band 5G (mmWave) transmits data above 6Ghz to 24Ghz and beyond providing fastest speeds but only at short distances. High-Band 5G can reach speeds around 1 Gbps and upto 10 Gbps.
